This musician (also known as Joe Flynn when acting) is right in the middle of the folk revival in the UK. The following are samples of his work with various others.

This first video shows Marcus Mumford writing a chorus in French, though he doesn't know much of it, and getting help with the translation and pronunciation. Then there's a recording "on the fly" of his group, with Johnny Flynn on the violin, in an alleyway, and they end up serenading a French woman with the just-written song.

This next is Flynn with Laura Marling in, I believe, his back garden. Notice the siren at the very end that makes Marling start laughing.

This one was shot on the streets of Buenos Aires. He messes up on the guitar a bit, but since it's while he's walking along a fairly dark pavement, I think it's excusable.

This last is Flynn with his group The Sussex Wit (that often includes his sister, Lillie).
