4th Of July

Well the first day of spring, well it came and gone and the summer did too but winter's so long. And my heart still sings, sings for you. And I dream of the one summer night I spent with you.

And it still goes on like the 4th of July
And my heart still beats like you're by my side
And I dream of the day when you'll be mine
And I'll fly sky high on the 4th of July.

Well the first day of spring, well it came and gone and the summer did too but winter's so long. And my heart still sings, sings for you. And I dream of the one summer night I spent with you.

And then the rain came down and the sheets of grey and they washed our love, my dreams away. And the rising sun, it never came. It just stayed there in that one summer day.

And it still goes on like the 4th of July
And my heart still beats like you're by my side
And I dream of the day when you'll be mine
And I'll fly sky high on the 4th of July.

And the fireworks still pop in my head, the flag still flies overhead. And the banner still blows, still blow in the wind. The crowds still cheer, the crowds still sing.

And it still goes on like the 4th of July
And my heart still beats like you're by my side
And I dream of the day when you'll be mine
And I'll fly sky high.

And it still goes on like the 4th of July
And my heart still beats like you're by my side
And I dream of the day when you'll be mine
And I'll fly sky high, happy 4th of July.

Pride

I never felt like this before
Try to hold it back and I feel it even more
Sweat drips down my spine and my knees are weak
I can not move, I can not speak

But then you came and I held it together again
I managed to stumble through
Fifty thousand voices singing in the rain
There's nothing that I wouldn't do

'cause I'd move mountains if you asked me to
I'll swim the seven seas
I'll be the one to hold your torch again
I'll do anything you asked of me

'cause I'd move mountains if you asked me to
I'll swim the seven seas
I'll be the one to hold your torch again
I'll do anything you asked of me

I never knew how proud I'd feel just standing in the rain. These three words mean everything to me and I'd sing it again and again.

'cause I'd move mountains if you asked me to
I'll swim the seven seas
I'll be the one to hold your torch again
I'll do anything you asked of me

'cause I'd move mountains if you asked me to
I'll swim the seven seas
I'll be the one to hold your torch again
I'll do anything you asked of me

Well the blue and the white of the flag shines bright and it's blowing there for me. With my hand on my heart, the honest truth there's nowhere I'd rather be.

'cause I'd move mountains if you asked me to
I'll swim the seven seas
I'll be the one to hold your torch again
I'll do anything you asked of me

'cause I'd move mountains if you asked me to
I'll swim the seven seas
I'll be the one to hold your torch again
I'll do anything you asked of me

Slow it down

I never knew you before.
I've been walking around with my eyes on the floor.
But now you're everywhere to me,
You're every face that I see.
Things ain't moving quick enough for me.

I guess I've been running round town,
Leaving my tracks.
Burning out rubber,
Driving too fast,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Back to the moment, the very start,
From the very first day you had my heart,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Slow it down
Down, down, down, down...

Wishing, wanting for something more,
always better than I had before.
Who knew these dreams would come true?
And I run the red, won't stop at night,
I don't care for traffic lights.
Things ain't moving quick enough for me.

I guess I've been running round town,
Leaving my tracks.
Burning out rubber,
Driving too fast,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Back to the moment, the very start,
From the very first day you had my heart,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Slow it down
Down, down, down, down...

I guess I've been running round town,
Leaving my tracks.
Burning out rubber,
Driving too fast,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Back to the moment, the very start,
From the very first day you had my heart,
But I've gotta slow right down.

I guess I've been running round town,
Leaving my tracks.
Burning out rubber,
Driving too fast,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Back to the moment, the very start,
From the very first day you had my heart,
But I've gotta slow right down.

Slow it down
Down, down, down, down...

The furthest star

The furthest star in the sky, well that's the one that passed me by. I tried to wish upon that star, it didn't get me very far.

It fell on empty ears, it fell on empty hearts. And my dreams, they fell apart.

I'm always wishing I was someone else, I'm always hoping I can sell myself

But I'll be free for what I believe and I won't sell my soul just to achieve my goal. And I've been holding back the tears, dreaming all these years.

And I sing from the heart if you'll listen to me, everything I do is what I believe.

The lights went out across the world and your house of cards came tumbling down 'cause nothing stays and noting sticks when you're rolling with the lunatics.

But my star in the darkest sky twinkles and watches while the other stars die upon your empty ears and empty hearts.

I'm always wishing I was someone else, but I've given up the goals, I will never sell myself.

But I'll be free for what I believe and I won't sell my soul just to achieve my goal. And I've been holding back the tears, dreaming all these years.

And I sing from the heart if you'll listen to me, everything I do is what I believe.

The furthest star in the sky, well that's the one that passed me by. I tried to wish upon that star, it didn't get me very far.

The game

Why did I dream last night?
Why did I not see the light?
'cause here and now is what I've been waiting for. All my life, this is what I was born to do. No sacrifice, I wouldn't give it up for you.

And set fire to my heart then tear my world apart, just like you always do.

And give, give me just a taste. Then take it all away, I'm lost in the game, the game you call fame.

Why did I think there was something more?
Why did it feel different to the years before?
'cause here and now is what I've been waiting for. All my life, this is what I was born to do. No sacrifice, I wouldn't give it up for you.

Set fire to my heart then tear my world apart, just like you always do.

And give, give me just a taste. Then take it all away, I'm lost in the game, the game you call fame.

The game you call fame.

And set fire to my heart then tear my world apart, just like you always do.

And give, give me just a taste. Then take it all away, I've lost in the game, the game you call fame.

Across the Nile

Wave your flag high above your head, you deserve to smile, celebrate in style. 'cause everything that depressed you now is gone.

And eighteen days while the world looked on, you stood your ground, kept holding strong. Eighteen days while the world looked on.

Across the Nile there are stars tonight and they shine much brighter than before.
Across The Nile there's peace and love tonight and it shows much stronger than before.
Much stronger than before.

Free and fair life they said it would be, cross our fingers, wait and see and dream of a better day. And across the world you've shown them all that hope and strength can conquer all. Will we stand together again?

Across the Nile there are stars tonight and they shine much brighter than before.
Across The Nile there's peace and love tonight and it shows much stronger than before.
Much stronger than before.

Hope and strength can conquer all, you've shown the world how the mighty fall. And across the Nile there are stars much brighter than before.

The days of being young and free

Listen to my heart as it beats for you
And it's telling you the things that I never could
And it's laying it down
On the line for you
And the years are catching up
I can see it on your face
And the days of being young and free
Are left there with the memories that blow
In the wind

And I can feel it coming when the Monday morning blues
They last all through the week I feel it on Sunday too
And I can feel it coming when my knees feel weak
And I cannot speak the truth

The days of being young, the days of being free
They're etched upon my face in every line that you see
The stories I could tell, the lies I told as well
What I wouldn't give to live it all again

The years are passing by every single day
Where did they go, did you take them all away
Now I'm older and grey
And their children they all left, they fled the family nest
And now we're all alone, the house don't feel like home anymore
Anymore

And I can feel it coming when the Monday morning blues
They last all through the week I feel it on Sunday too
And I can feel it coming when my knees feel weak
And I cannot speak the truth

The days of being young, the days of being free
They're etched upon my face in every line that you see
The stories I could tell, the lies I told as well
What I wouldn't give to live it all again

In my baby's eyes I lived it all again
The fear, the surprise, everything
In my baby's eyes I lived it all again
And I wouldn't change anything
In my baby's eyes I lived it all again
And I wouldn't change anything

Left that body long ago

Oh my dance is getting slower now 'cause my years they're getting older now. And my eyes, they won't cry. My tears have all run dry.

And my memory doesn't get me very far, I can't remember my name or exactly who you are. And I don't know why, no I don't know why.

Will you please believe I'm not the person you see, I left that body long ago. I left it way back there.

Will you please believe, given all that you see, I left that body long ago but somehow nobody knows.

So goodbye, you were my world and my life. And I don't know why you've lost your mother, lost your wife.

But there's more, something more than meets the eye. This is not the end, this is only goodbye.

Will you please believe I'm not the person you see, I left that body long ago. I left it way back there.

Now I'm free, I'm as happy as can be. I just wanted you to know that I left that body long ago.

So long ago.

Life in a beautiful light

How do I know when I've found my one and only and these days of searching are through?
How do I know when you love me as much as I love you?
How do you know when your life, your life is complete?
When the butterflies in your stomach sweep you of your feet.

'cause the stars in my eyes, well they twinkle when I see your face. And the butterflies keep flying, flying all over the place. And the dark and grey, well it fits with the black and white.
And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.
And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.

Nothing can prepare me for what I'm feeling right now. And nobody and nothing is ever gonna bring me down, down down.

No rain, no hail, no sleet, no snow. 'cause the sun always shines everywhere I go.

'cause the stars in my eyes, well they twinkle when I see your face. And the butterflies keep flying, flying all over the place. And the dark and grey, well it fits with the black and white.
And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.
And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.

'cause the stars in my eyes, well they twinkle when I see your face. And the butterflies keep flying, flying all over the place. And the dark and grey, well it fits with the black and white.
And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.
And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.

And all I see is life, life in a beautiful light.

Human Spirit

The world kept moving, you stood still
Caught in a moment against your will
And I'll think of you tonight
The world kept going and nobodycould see
The hell that was happening too hard to believe
And I shed a tear for you

No matter how many bombs we've dropped
No matter how many wars we've fought
It's good to see that it's not dead
Human Spirit is alive and well

The people couldn't get it, they said it wasn't true
How could this happen, happen to you
But we'll try our best be home for Christmas
And all the while we're still thinking 'bout ourselves
Worrying about moneyand stressing about wealth
But there's much, much more to live for

The green and the blue

Oh the sky it always grows and the lights they never fade
There's magic in the air, I can feel it everywhere
But the green and the blue come between me and you
But I will always be true to you

And the sun it never shines and the wind it always blows
The treasure that you're looking for is right under your nose
But the green and the blue come between me and you
On a Saturday afternoon

I never knew I could feel so lonely
I never knew I could feel so blue
I never knew I could see a night like this
Standing here with you

But no matter where I roam, no matter where I'll be
Something always brings me back to these streets
But the green and the blue still comes between me and you
On a Saturday afternoon

In the end

Wishing I was dreaming, wishing I didn't know. all the thoughts I was thinking, don't want to know.

Everyone's always moving, I'm standing still for all the time. Thoughts that I was living, it goes in my mind.

There's so much more that I could be, so many places that I'll never see. So many lives that I'll never meet.
I'll just dream until we get there in the end.

Always thinking 'bout tomorrow, before today is even through. Always thinking 'bout the future, what on earth will happen to you?

There's so much more that I could be, so many places that I'll never see. So many lives that I'll never meet.
I'll just dream until we get there in the end.

And if the world stops spinning, would I start moving home? And if the world stopped dreaming, would I stop beliving in at all?

There's so much more that I could be, so many places that I'll never see. So many lives that I'll never meet.
I'll just dream until we get there in the end.
I'll just dream until we get there in the end.
I'll just dream until we get there in the end.
